My name is Garm Halcyon.
As you might have read from my “About Me” page, I am a recent graduate from the School of Software Engineering looking for a Full Time rewarding job, preferably on Coruscant. But I’m just about willing to travel anywhere at this point.
I am interested in a wide variety of topics.
This is probably the most famous picture of Coruscant, at least from what I’ve seen broadcast on Holo-casts and other news outlets.
I wish I could say that the view outside my apartment is like this. In fact, it’s much more depressing and less as the kids would say lit.
I am looking through some of the latest adverts for jobs (Coruscant Job Informer & Get a Coruscant Job are the two publications I am concentrating on). At this point it doesn’t matter too much what the position is. I kind of need money.
The truth is, the contractor game is really tough right now with a lot of independent contractors really clogging up the job pool. There isn’t too much in the way of work unless you are directly aligned with a trade union of some kind.
I don’t particularly want to join a trade union, but of course will do so in order to get solid work under my belt. Or at least get my foot in the door.
I am good with all droids, especially protocol droids.
I haven’t worked directly with too many other types of droids. But of course, I am open to learning.
There are a few adverts for the hospitality industry, tending to cargo and luggage of travelers. Even though I am a software engineer by education, I might be willing to take a similar role just to get work. The economy on Coruscant and the Coruscant job market seems to be relatively tough right now. Plus, there may be an engineering role at one of these places in the future.
